It is more a peculiarity of the FMG thread that goes to both the stocks history (us against the world) and the general background of the people here (single stock posters looking for further support to back a decision many made a long time back) rather than HC.
With a handful of exceptions any experience or insight into the iron ore market, resource quality, valuation, cost curves, credit rating etc isn't valued, only holding sentiment.
So a few high volume but low quality posters dominate - the hematite and credit rating conversations are good examples of recent bluster over common sense.
The technical discussion is actually far better on the SDL thread. But over there people like Westport have taken the time to understand the industry rather than just be anti short, anti analyst, anti Rio, anti AFR etc.
