Things may well have changed since Thursday, but from conversations I have had, I understand that FIL were very thorough with their research, and that included meeting with MGH.
So I can only gather that they have probably spoken with the relevant parties since the announcement and are reasonably assured that the situation is salvageable in a time frame that is within their purview.
