Actually RAP uses study and trial interchangeably, even the latest announcement was "Preliminary Top-line Results from SMARTCOUGH-C Study" and they have done this numerous time in the past......and I don't see any difference, of course it wasn't a double blind study (and who cares if it wasn't, there is no placebo affect is there????), and you still need to cough into the phone to get a diagnosis for both whether it bronchiolitis or pneumonia to see that the algorithm works.
