How strange is this. Two anouncements that should be driving the sp up but absolutely no movement.
Buying back 30 million shares on such low volumes should push the sp way up, right? but I guess not.
Just speculating here but:
1. If the financials were really bad the shares could be bought for a reasonable price and ease downward pressure.
2. Or perhaps the major shareholders are planning to do a bit of selling.
The announcements says "People Telecom Directors believe it is appropriate to return to the Company’s shareholders
some of the proceeds of the sale that are surplus to working capital requirements". Does this mean the directors expect the sp to rise?
I must admit I'd be very concerned if the director use the buy back to sell shares.
