Yep agree. Their Moat at the moment is the fact that they actually have it up and running.
The other part is the Dashboard.

If this was actually easy everyone would have done it.

Each of the three facets that make up the Ohm system are not by themselves revolutionary.

Ohm Sensor, Microsoft Cloud, Ohm Dashboard.

putting them all together and having them working seamlessly is key.
They have done that. It is proven and now the roll out begins.

Back to the Moat bit. The dashboard is where all the smart stuff happens and really this will be the IP that Buddy will own.

The other part will be the data. if they can get a run rate on the installs they can then start to formulate the data for sale as well similar to Parse.

From my past experience in Aus the big property funds have an expectation of achieving a higher green rating every year and have funds available to achieve this.

I used to have acquaintances in this field. Hundreds of thousands if not millions spent on AC upgrades. LED lights, Sensors, insulation security and cctv. You name it got done each year.
Otherwise the buildings become unleasable.

Buddy just another piece of the pie building managers should be screaming for IMO.

So imagine 1 property fund with 20 or buildings. It gets interesting as there are hundreds of funds like this.

Now bring someone like Dexus on board.
They probably have 300 properties and you start to see the big picture.
They can monitor their Carbon foot print across all of their portfolio from any PC in one dash board.
That is massive and something they have not previously been able to access.

Now say you have a few thousand buildings on your system. the data gathered would be worth a lot of money as everyone wants to compare against the rest of the competition.

No brainer to me. If this catches on it could go ballistic.
