have just read back through the previous report. It seems as if most of the problems were caused by the New Zealand business underperforming. They have taken steps to address these problems and expect things to improve in the second half. Apparently the Aust business and Bisalloy were doing ok. They have also changed some management positions .
reading the report it sounded quite positive that things would get better this half (my interpretation anyway).
I guess when you make a takeover you would want to get it as cheap as possible but I have heard a figure of $1.10 mentioned- see previous posts on Ahs- criterion in Australian considered this figure a possible (from my memory) Would love to know exactly what is in the minds of the major shareholders but guess we'll have to wait ans see. Thought there might have been another change of sub holder notice as there seems to have been steady buying.
