    Perhaps the following is why; 1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes have seen (And "Almighty God & Father said, let there be light),............ The Word of Life.
    The Word, the sum total of the inner of The Almighty God is, expressed to many as The Word of the Lord, The Word of God.
    Ex - The Tablets, Moses relayed the word of God.

    2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water.

    Isa 45:12 – I have made the earth and created man upon it: I even my hands, have stretched out the heavens and all their hosts have I commanded.

    Psa 104:30 Thou sendeth forth thy Spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

    Isa 42:5 Thus said God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people on it and spirit to them that walk on therein.

    And what was Moses and the Prophets told and expected, Ex- following;

    Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet, I will put MY Words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all I command him. Jesus on more than one occasion, confirms this in John.

    And how would we sum all this up or how they received it - The Dabar - Hebrew for Word which carries MORE meanings than that of Logos.
    And to add further to that, the writer of John would of had full understanding of the Hebrew word and meanings of Basar = Flesh in English.
    Basar/Flesh in Hebrew has TWO meanings, one is flesh as "we" know it, AND Messenger. It's spelled the same way for each meaning but pronounced with different sounding.
    Hence we have John's Gospel, John the Baptist, with Hebrew ROOTS, and mindset and knowledge.
    OT shows he was sent to clear the Path, make straight the way for Almighty God The Father, who was about to send His Son.
    So the writer of John, keeping with, That which they had heard from the beginning, to put all Back on track, make clear, clear the way, with the first 13 verses recapping that which they heard in the beginning which was and is all about,The Almighty God and Father, who only reveals his mystery through the writer of John at 1:14.
    Col 1:26 – Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.

    We know Moses was told, Confirmed by Jesus, I will raise them up a Prophet and I WILL put My Words in Him and command him what to say = Messenger. This messenger, prophet, Jesus as we now know him to be, became flesh and at His Baptism as prophesied, the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit which IS God's Spirit as He is a Spirit, came upon and in Jesus. So we have The Spirit of God dwelling in Jesus Without Measure and by now, pretty much of ALL his Fathers word and Jesus started and full steam do what he was sent for and this is the period 1:14 is referring to AND EXACTLY what the Prophets and Co were told and expected.

    However and here is where the crunch comes in, or not long after Jesus went to the Father = Some Greek Philosopher comes along with the likes of, Hey you clowns, Jews and the likes, us Da Greeks no more about Dabar than you guys as we have The Logos, and we are more inventive than you guys and twisting it's meaning. It seems, the first and ordinary and not to mention obvious meaning even in the Greek, are done away with.
    However, unbeknownst to most it would seem for some strange reason (or is it?), God views the likes of this as, Tradition & philosophy of men and strongly advises us to watch out for;

    Col 2:8 – Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.

    2 Cor 11:3 – But I fear, least by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

    1 Cor 3:18-2 – Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he maybe wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

    If we stray from the truth the following suggest, Huston we have a problem;
    2 Thes 2:11 And for this cause, God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

    1 Cor 14:33 – For God is not the author of confusion……

    Well,,,,, RM,,,,,,,,, This 2% that you mention in one of your post, might be worth Checking out!!! As your reasoning what MIGHT seem logic, doesn't appear to be stacking up.
