Hi Matt,
If you are keen to buy asap I would be on the job when it opens on monday.
It will open at a price that will depend on buys and sells at the point of opening, and you won't know what that is untill close to the time.
You just don't know.
You can put a bid in now, if you are clear on your price limit. You can stick a high bid in on the screen. It will form part of the buy sell equation - that determines the opening price. The higher the price you put in the more likely that you are succesful in getting the stock (volume wise). In that event you will get the stock at the opening price (even if it is lower than your bid). However if it opens higher than your limit, then you miss out obviously.
Volume will be your biggest challenge is suspect. Most people have been here since before Richie McCaw captained the all blacks (thats for you Barnaby- our little freind of the APVMA) waiting for this to happen - together with APVMA approval around the corner. Most people are going to be sitting pretty tight you would think. I suggest you get very clear on your own feeling on what this 'sucker' (pun intended - for you Fritzle) is worth. Not sure what the market reaction will be.
It may take some time to nut out the finer details of a deal, and lead to over excited investors getting 'boar'ed' (another one for you Fritzle).
This thing is like watching a Road roller hurtling down the road at about 1km per hr! We investors get as excited as a bunch of North Korean high school kids at Kim Jung Uns birthday, but then remember that it is still many months before the thing is actually going to get here, all settle down, go about our business, then the mind games begin. And the worry worts get nervous and sell out! Point being, there is a bit of time to go yet.
But a key development nonetheless. Time to bring home the 'bacon' - albeit slowly (for you again Fritzle)
