Pauljbo470; our home solar system was installed in 2008 and ever since we've been smiling all the way to the bank as electricity prices rocketed. Electricity is now a money earner for us - about $1,000 each year; that in addition to enabling us to reduce how much gas we use and keeping ourselves warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer!
As soon as battery back-up systems make the next step we'll be in like Flynn!
As for the impact wood-fired heaters are having the Albury-Wodonga urban area; the impact on our ageing lungs is getting harder to bear each year!
