Hi all,
One thing that confuses me about CETO 6 and its development is the following. Is it necessary to just deploy one CETO 6 and then another? Is it possible to deploy multiple at once? If the buoys are built why not deploy in multiple sites?
The company has had timelines for each project. Although the company is very vague with those.
We have Wavehub:
"with stage 1 commissioning currently targeting the end of 2018"
We have Albany:
"The Project, to be delivered in stages, will involve an initial 1MW unit followed by a 20MW wave farm resulting in over $100m of local investment."
and of course, Garden Island which is underway although what is happening with CETO 6. Read the article below from

They have EPA approval from Feb 2016:

It states that there are 3 buoys to be deployed.
If you go back to presentations they were making as late as May 2016 they were presenting slides saying that they would have a 1MW CETO 6 demonstration up and running.
If you look at 2017 presentations in reference specifically to CETO 6 and garden island they state "long lead items ordered and construction to start 2017"
SO what is going on! They send out so many mixed messages it is hard to decipher what their plan is!
The best I can decipher is that it will be Garden Island first. The infrastructure is in place. Then it has to be wave hub as "commissioning is at the end of 2018" which means the construction must start soon. The Albany project will not have even begun construction yet and will take time to get these things completed. As such it will be very long time before it is ready for CETO 6.
Having said that it must be close to some pretty big announcements coming through........
