It would be nice to think that the latest diamonds would be worth 15 million but there is little chance of that.
Late 2016 there was a batch of diamonds that sold for US10 million and there were many large diamonds in that batch with a few over 100 carats in size.
I have done some calculations and have come up with figures of US2 to 2.5 million for 2a diamonds just over 100 carats and US1 to 1.5 million for 2a diamonds 50 to under 100 carats.
These are rough estimates due to differences in shape and size but quite close as a average.
Only two of the latest 50 carat plus specials are of high value that I estimate to be close to US3 million with the others 100k to 500k each depending on colour clarity.
About US4 million for the 50 carat plus diamonds and another US1.5 to 3 million for the regular recoveries.
Total about US4.5 to 6 million is my guess.
