i suppose it's akin to your caravan and 4WD adventures- you know that you are losing many thousands in depreciation, but you are getting a chance to actually live your bucket list on the cheap.
ps- that's why your sentiment is -'Let's see', just like all great adventurers, what will be, will be.
if i may be so bold- my hunch is that you make decisions on gut feel.
