Do you ever wonder why buy and holders bother to post on this forum.

I am a buy and holder too with a percenatge of my investments.

But if that is all I did, I would be off doing something else, rather than dissing those that try to time.

We know that at times it may take 10 or more years to recoup losses from market declines.

I love it when people say, "only a fool tries to time markets".

That is a dead give away. What they are saying is "I am a fool because I haven't a clue, but if I shoot the messenger, the message will disappear".

Making money is all about what you have as capital.

If you have a billion then 10% a year is a pretty healthy return.

If you are starting from scratch then 10% on 10,000 is hardly worth the effort.

Anyway, life is all about growth and development.

Those with a fixed perspective on anything are stunted IMO.

We call them conservatives, lol.

Some deride those who change their minds, but anyone who can't change their mind is either dead or brain dead.

This is not aimed at you GE, but you gave me the opening to have a rant at the brain dead, lol.
