MSB may have had an internal deadline to get a deal done with MNK by the MNK August board meeting, and if they didn't get it done by then they will have to raise capital to ensure they don't breach their internal cash buffer.
MNK could well approve the deal in their Sept board meeting, but MSB's board were likely not willing to risk a delay- as it would make it even more difficult to raise capital after that.
Let's see what SI has to say on the 30th.
