Christianity tells us (if you care to read up on it) that we should not bow to, or worship anyone. Worship God if we believe such.

I don't buy this repeated forgiveness. If we know what's wrong, just don't do it. If we need forgiveness, see the person(s) we offended or robbed.

I suspect that the majority of adherents to this belief are fellow bible believers. I don't know for sure, but given the division and ** among believers, I would not be surprised.
