I went through 1987. the market was totally different. No information, no computers, no discussion like this forum. Just woke up one morning and turned the radio on and everything down 25%. It was full panic mode because most people traded on credit with their broker. It was really people jumping out of windows. It settled down, the traders who didnt panic made a fortune. The little guys got hurt. Its more global now, China is getting more important to us and we become more and more part of the asian market. Not to say the US will always be big brother. One thing about the chinese they are totally inexperienced on the world stage, they are gamblers and take chances, they will also take your money
