Basically I DON'T think "they are full of it"!
I do think "they" are proving to be a hell of a lot more ethical than a lot of their peers and your remark "it's an underhanded tactic" is rubbish. Reillyblue has summed up Ross Murdoch perfectly in saying he gives nothing away and is very conservative in what he says and for him to endorse an underhanded tactic would be anathema to him!
