It has me thinking about the adaptation of Sileach to large scale gold processing.

Sileach is based on the extraction of minerals from silicates. Gold is commonly known to be found with quartz, a silicate and the second most common mineral on the earths continental crust.

So there could be a possible adaptive application to gold mining in some situations. Cost savings could be achieved via recycling acid chemicals like hydrofluoric acid. The process would look a bit different as gold being heavy accumulates at the bottom and requires extraction methods to be possibly different.

However, it would be best if a metallurgist gave an opinion about this. It may not be as efficient as other new methods being developed for gold mining.

NB BHP is doing a lot of studies on using chemical leaching in processing ore to extract gold and copper for their planed Olympic Dam expansion. The new method is expected to provide cost savings.
