So it is true that SAS is going to be a charity organization or revolve around charity!? SAS would have to charge monthly plans, money that those poor people don't have, they don't even have enough for food! If SAS charge by usage then the cash flow would suffer greatly because those poor people would not use the service at all. People need to realize that everyone who can afford a phone and its related services (around $2000-$5000) already have them. The only ones who don't have access to phones and its services are the super poor, people who earns single digit $/day. Cables and mobile towers are the cheapest way to get comms going and satellites are going to be more expensive because of physics. How on earth are the poorest of the poor going to afford mobile plans? Poorest poor make some of the worst customers, which is why companies very rarely cater to them.
