For those doomsayers saying that property prices will drop 20%....it's all about position, position, position.

I agree that the normal aussie battler on $100K double income borrowing $500K for their first house is struggling.....

But you wouldn't know it where I live in on the lower north shore of Sydney where you only get a 2br house on the mainroad for a million.

There are some very very wealthy people out there who don't need mortgages....and I still think the more affluent areas will be insulated from any downturn in the market.
