No suspicions warranted here, only excitement with glee upon re reading ASX release 18^th May 2017 and titled “AVZ to proceed with Manono transaction following completion of due diligence” in regards to the timely order/release of assay data.

MO17DD001 (301.2m) was drilled first and finished in spodumene bearing pegmatite at 141.25m (proposed depth 150m, figure 1) as the company’s aim was most likely to scope out the mineral zonation of the top 100m, then it was quickly realised that a spodumene monster was being un earthed.

“The Manono project has the potential to host one of the world’s largest lithium rich LCT (Lithium Caesium Tantalum) pegmatite deposits”, page 1.

More rods and a second better equipped drill rig was requested as they moved on to 002 which also finished in pegmatite and will be re entered at a later date. 001 was re entered after drill hole 006 and completed at 301.2m in mica schist.

Page 5 has photos of 001 drill core before and after changing bit diameter showing near fresh spodumene bearing pegmatite from a minimum 37.4m, the drill hole was completed to 301.2 after intersecting ~50m of mica schist after failing to intersect the footwall pegmatite that was intersected in drill hole 002, do the total pegmatite intersection sums.

Proposed drill holes 008 – 013 were most likely postponed to a later date due to the increase in hole depths affecting the budgeted meterage/costs were achieved after drill hole 007.

“Operations – AVZ plans to complete the initial 2,000 metre diamond drilling program and further geological mapping and trenching of the project area. Based on these results of these programs, AVZ expects to undertake a more extensive RC and diamond drilling program (commencing late Q3 2017) designed to further test identified areas of mineralization on a regularised pattern”, page.

MO17DD001 (311m EOH) will be a bonanza intersection, it was collared immediately west of trench 5 and 400m SE along strike of 002 (203m @ 1.57% Li20 1078ppm Sn from 65m). In fresh rock the downhole mineralised interval in this drill hole will have a potential width of plus 220m @ +1.5% Li2O.”

and then there is drill hole MO17DD007 (351m EOH) …

It was sensible to await assay confirmation before drilling these monsters out with limited cash in bank at the time.

Now why would they drill another 150 metres unless cores had visible spodumene ?
Hole 7 looks like will not need to go past 70 metres before spodumene present without weathering.
