“Parties to explore the integration of a SAS app into the SocialEco’s smartphone andthe development of a separate $20 Android smartphone that will have SAS’s network embedded as default”
Has there been any news on how the “exploring” is going? That ann. was issued over 7 months ago.
To quote SocialEco’s CEO from the same ann.
“We look forward to working with Sky and Space Global to bring our innovative $1 smartphoneand a potential$20satellite Android smartphone to underserved regions across the globe.”
The one dollar smart phone might just be for populated areas with either expensive ground infrastructure or expensive personal routers, dishes etc.
Personal dishes and the like would limit the phones mobility. I cannot see poor people in the absolute middle of nowhere having a dish and router at this stage.
The potential satellite android smartphone for the rest?
The potential $20 satellite android smartphone is currently only a potential satellite smartphone. Currently it is only an idea.
There seems to be a long way to go with this and a lot better/more detail is required.
