I'm just passing on what AVZ consultant Airguide are publicly announcing multiple times that there are many Chinese parties interested in AVZ including Huayou and CATL among others.

I think they would bid against each other given they are businesses competing against each other for contracts to supply batteries to market and the likes of VW, BMW etc. end of the day they are all businesses and some publicly listed and they all want to dominate their market and therefore want to control the market and outbid a competitor whether they are another Chinese company or Korean, Japanese or German.

Airguide are strongly indicating that AVZ is of huge interest to be bought up by someone and the benefit is AVZ hasn't signed any deals as yet which Airguide have mentioned and noted is a very positive thing.

From those indications I think AVZ will be sold off well before production, purely guessing by end of year, at what price is a different question, Airguide have called short term price target of 20c, so depends if there's multiple interested parties (check) and enough of a bidding war and how bad each party wants the lithium that a resource like AVZ could supply.
