Dollar, I am not a full time trader, work for a bank.( and so does
my wife) I dont invest
all my money into share market directly. I have colonial first state
funds, a capital protected loan, my own money in the market, property
overseas and some deposits in life insurances & postal schemes ( these
are overseas and are like more safe investments).
My wife and I have been trading for 5 years now, prior to that we
had money in property and deposits. I like trading myself, although
I am surely NOT a day trader. I like to hold mid to long term, but
I dont hesitate to take profits on risk investments.
I generally dont invest more than 10-15 % in risky shares and by
doing this, I try and not keep looking at the broker website ....I
dont have that much time.
I do think, there is money to be made. I am not sure if I can leave
my job yet and basically I am just 26. So I do like to keep a track
and try and pick up shares cheaper and sell in 6 months hopefully for
a profit.
