Investopedia has a wealth of definitions, some with videos. I rely on it as one of a few resources, eg. I'm looking into various debt metrics and want to know what they mean/portend.
I remember when bots entered the room (9 years ago?). They ate everyone's lunch. Being Wall St. this could not go on, and it didn't. First the Big Boys all got their own, got dedicated fibre optic cables (even line-of-sight lasers) as close as physically possible to the exchange's mainframe and ALL went at it. The result of this was that roughly no one had an edge, meaning the playing field was, as can happen in nature, levelled.
Today they can be bought off the shelf... ahh, progress.
