There are two levels of relation. First is subsidies, second is ownership of EMH. In the shortcut I would be extremely careful about any share of his companies in EMH/Geomet - as might be the case if he wins and Czech government will become partner through state enterprise (which will become semi-state and then Babis enterprise). Other than that I am not that much concerned.

Talking about subsidies there are both positive and negative scenarios. As Babis is owner of the huge chemical and agriculture companies he might be pushing to get involved as both EMH supplier (reagent) and off-taker (potash by-product). And if he gets he might be lobbying (as prime minister) for his involved companies to get subsidies as well as subsidies for EMH. On the other hand he gets huge subsidies (billions Czech Crowns) in bio-fuels industry and lithium is kind of competition to it and generally his companies. There simply might not be enough money for EMH in the budget. in such case. So from that perspective we have better chance to get better subsidies from Czech government without Babis.

Talking about ownership Babis's history is full of hostile/illegal takeovers. For example he can get minor share in Geomet (first as state enterprise, semi-state...). Then do "private" shareholder board meeting with fake majority where he approve assets increase of the company in the way he gets majority of the company and all other shareholders (EMH/including myself as shareholder ) will be screwed. And as in the past get away with it at court and just laugh at us.
