Why would a established firm and producer require more supplementary equipment?

Are the seeds from this hybrid viable? Only enough for 100 acres so do they need to plant a seed crop as well ?

AEB's share is 75%?

I thought they originally announced their share as 25% for field crops. More for crops using their special IP and only 75% for shipping container crops.
