In the mid to Late 1970's and early 1980"s there was a very bad problem with skin head gangs here in Perth, gangs of POMs commiting very violent crimes with knives razor blades and any thing else they could get their hands on - Maybe back then POMs should have been stopped from migrating.
In the Late 80's I worked with an EX Yank marine who while out on bail for violent crimes commited more violent crimes with the second lot taking about 20 minutes to read the list out in court it was that long, and he was not the only ex yank marine I knew at the time who was in trouble for violent crimes - Could have be a good arguement to not let any more Yanks in.
Fact is regardless where people come from their will always be a certain portion of scum bags. I do not see the answer as stopping a whole race of people migrating to Australia, But instead have the law come down on any migrants that do not want to live as part of a peaceful society with its full force and forget the political correct justice and social system.
