    Probably because the company knows how many FUNDS have BONDS or cash tied up with CDOs! I'm sure its not that hard for them to work out...

    As for BNP - did you KNOW that they haven't actually lost a CENT?
    Also, the 2 funds that they can't "Price due to instability in the credit market" makes up 0.5% of their total holdings?

    So lets just say those 2 funds are now worth ZERO, then they've just lost 0.5%.
    Our stocks have wiped out tens of billions. Dichotomy? I think so.
