School education is all about cooperative learning, creativity and critical thinking. Schools are also about developing a number of soft skills. Schools have listened carefully to employers and are delivering the skills which 21st century employers state that they want.
Since there has always been homosexuality I fail to see how SSM changes the way Safe School Coalition interacts with students.
Schools support choices. A parent may well support their child in their same sex choice. The school community may not be as accepting hence the need for support at school as well.
