The market will give some hint and give you some time in advance.
Todays hint as I see it is that there was an effort to push down the SP this morning. The market decided that it was stronger than any wish to sell the SP down and the market has said that 19C is as low as it should be.
I took the hint and bought today at the 19c I spoke about earlier on. The strong price for RE is underpinning the SP. I'd rather place a bet on a price based on my intuition than one on the flip of a coin.
Don't follow me though as I'm going fishing, may lead you up the creek and I'm often wrong.
