I don't recall where I heard this (perhaps at the AGM?), but I believe that the optimal place (ie risk minimisation) to test Alpha from would be East of the Sag River, rather than from the FB pad. Hence no advantages of the highway, as they would still need ice roads to access - longer too as (I believe) that the only permissable Sag crossing is around 35 miles north.
So in terms of bang for buck - the 'western plan' we get two (large) conventional prospects tested with one iceroad of around 25 miles and also have the option to further delineate the HRZ (with permit changes) in the area of more interest, if circumstances indicate the need. No brainer for me, within the context of Alpha being much further away than the crow flies.
