Was working in futures in 87 - was at work the night of the crash .......... still fresh in my memory ........was hard to get your head around at the time....

It just sold off steadily all night - a 5 min chart looked like any other night but the figs were diff

I called my boss when the Dow was down 250-300 - I remember saying to him "if it keeps going like this - it will be down 500 by the close"

I was not much hurt personally but it was a most unpleasant experience - some punters/ brokers around the world jumped from windows and a broker somewhere was murdered by an irrate client - very nasty time
