I can tell you in trading markets for nearly 30 years that the only time exchanges go down for "good reasons" is during a crisis.

I have seen it many times and can predict it.

What it is all about I don't know, it may be volume problems, but I would say to the missus, "the stock exchange or futures exchange will shut down soon" and sure enough.

I didn't pick it today, because it has been quite a while since the last time.

I guess that is because we have had such a volatile free bull market for 4 years.
