Klaus is a weeler-dealer, in Germany we call colloquial such a guy acknowleding "a Sauhund".

And to be honest, some events around AVZ smells a bit, e.g. a company consultant tweeting pics with potential buyers from normally confidential negotiations. Weird....

But i would exclude another DeBeira in this case. The asset is real and great, lots of historic brownfield data and 235 m high grade hits don't lie.

I have another scenario in my mind:

He could have sold the shares to friends and old buddies, knowing that this will cause probably a sell-off.
Friends and old buddies will seize the moment and collect some cheap shares during the sell-off.
Everything 100% legal...

Of course only speculation, but such an approach would fit to him
