The nature of their professional training makes them critical thinker, but I believe you are giving too much credit to the parliamentarians who are lawyers in checking our legislation to make sure they are technically sound.
I don't believe the numbers of lawyers in our parliament are high.
How many of the current coalition MPs are lawyers ? How many are cabinet ministers ?
