50m? Where did you get that number? I think, off the top of my head, there are about 10m terminals globally at the moment. That is a mixture of bank owned stand-alone terminals and integrated PIN pads. There are about 1 million here in the UK (figure varies between 900k and 1m depending on who you talk to). I would envisage we will see around 100k installs for contactless here in the UK over a 12 months period. The leading players (from a hardware perspective should be Vivotech, OTI, Verifone and Ingenico.)

Keycorp are a complete non-player here in Europe, I mean totally and utterly don't exist (from a reader perspective). Obviously some of their devices (ie K23s) are used in Canada and Australia but i would be a bit nervous about the longevity due to the growing nature of Verifone and Ingenico (the latter currently negotiating to merge with Sagem's merchant division, Sagem being the supplier that NAB chose for their EMV roll-out).

Re Keycorp v Gemalto for Multos - not sure on this one (as I've said, I'm a bit clueless on the card side as the acceptance side is my business). I don't think I've come across any Keycorp cards here and I'm 99.9% sure Keycorp won't get any money from a general contactless roll-out by default.
