Question is who bought that 10m shares off market at 15c for $1.5m?
Don't think that was a last minute thing for Klaus to look for a buyer, nor was the selling during this small window a last minute thought, seems planned (probably before they knew these last drill results would be delayed from shipping to Perth and was intended purely for this last window to sell before blackout period).
So again, who approached Klaus or who did Klaus approach to sell/buy 10m shares from him at 15c a share for $1.5m?
Certainly won't be some random putting up their life savings to get in on a punt and they are approaching the Director to buy shares when they could just buy on market, so why buy off market directly from the Director and pay a premium?
That part there is the most intriguing aspect, as well as two directors selling just before the blackout period starts, but more so why someone or an entity thought it a good decision to buy $1.5m - 10m shares at 15c off market from the company Director.
Why not buy the full 25m shares off-market? Maybe they are close to their limit allowed to own (not sure on the specific amounts for offshore entity's ownership etc.) or they don't want to come out as a sub holder just yet?
As Airguide stated, it was to a strategic investor; likely someone who wants to build a position and Klaus wanted to sell some stock for what ever personal reasons or they approached Klaus for them.
Either way, they paid $1.5m for them and it's likely just a small portion of their overall position that they Topped Up on and they took the chance to grab a decent amount, as they obviously realise the longer run it has value to them, perhaps beyond share price value.
End of the day the resource is there, Huayou see the value investing $13.2m (potentially another $18.6m @ 10c) and this mystery buyer stumped up $1.5m.
