Couldn't agree more with you on the first point. The lack of gas volume is directly related to the lack of exploration and development activity in NSW and Victoria. All the science suggests that gas exploration is safe if it is doe properly.
The "shortage"of gas on the east coast is more a price issue than a volume issue. For many years, this region has had access to cheap gas and now it is more expensive, manufacturing is complaining. I feel for them, but production costs have risen and the cheap gas is no longer available.
On your second point, Moomba is in the Cooper Basin. So I think you are slightly confused on that point.
