I thought that was an excellent info session. sound good, and info was interesting. none of it sounded like bull... which is good. they gave good background on AJX's history with military application.
they had to get the weight of uniform down (to 7.5oz per ?)
they got below that weight, but the lightweight uniform then failed the pyro test, because space between fibres allowed heat to enter uniform. they blowtorch uniform!
they said they then washed the uniform, and found that the resulting small shrinkage enabled the uniform to retain its weight specs, but also allowed the shrinkage to improve the flame retardant. Cannot recall if this new spec has been blowtorched yet? so sounds like looking good.
