Here's another probable price catalyst. The economy in Townsville has been hammered by the mining downturn to a degree that few of us realise. If you look at the way unemployemnt has risen in Townsville since 2012, it is trully eye popping. Looking at broader Queensland outside of Brisbane does not tell the story at all. Townsville has been hit harder than just about any town in Australia. Unemployment rates in QLD are surpassed only in the outback.
With 7 of 1300Smiles', and perhaps some of their most established (?), practices located there, the impact on consolidated accounts must have been substantial. Any improvement here (which may already be commencing) will have to register.
