Correction: HF is used as a PRECURSOR to almost ALL FLUORIDE COMPOUNDS, INCLUDING PHARMACEUTICALS SUCH AS FLUOXETINE (Prozac). No bull, got it straight from Wikipedia for easy verification.
Anti-depressants are a big source of income for the pharmaceutical industry and a proportion of readers on Hot Copper are likely to have used them currently or in the past. Hence, it may motivate them to do some research.
It is a verified FACT that Hydrofluoric acid is actually a WEAK acid, but highly reactive and hazardous chemical that requires safety procedures. Believe it because it is TRUE !!!!!!!!!! Even I am amazed it is true.
Anyway, we can always agree to disagree on verification of facts, and possibly company outlook.
