Spare cash or access to money could indeed be problematic for some investors, but based on yesterday's closing price it was potentially a free $4k. Hopefully there won't be too much of a rush for holders to take the first opportunity to take their profit (they could have already done so out of their existing holdings), but I expect the SP to dip over the next few days because of selling pressure.

The offer document advised that today is the issue of the new shares under the SPP offer, which can be traded starting from tomorrow. I therefore take it that these won't appear in our accounts until after close of business today.
