A $13.60-$14.00 is simply too cheep and the price is almost there
But Brambles may be beyond the capabilities of both Asciano Group and of Toll Holdings.
Toll and Asciano are acquiring a stakes getting close to 5 per cent now. Nether party has committed to a full bid.
However, Brambles could command a price of up to $A25 billion, which is around $17.60. It is possible that neither Toll nor Asciano would be able to undertake a successful takeover bid alone.
If you would have listened to Bruce Low, of ABN Amro Asset Management, he has also expressed doubts about the benefits Toll and Asciano could derive from a Brambles takeover.
However a third and consortium player may spice up the deal for Brambles.
whichever the case may be all indicators point to one thing (it is time to accumulate).
