@phildo123 - Hope you are well
I share your enthusiasm as well with David Trench appointment - in my opinion the appointment has probably added significant impetus moving forward now
What's your views regarding whether GPP will split into a) Minerals Exploration/Mining company and b) OHD related "businesses" company?
To me it sounds like David Trench is being groomed/earmarked for a permanent position to head the OHD project while Gerard probably sits back and watches the money come in.
@fooca - Hope you are also well
You make some points but the GPP's landscape and direction changed in 2013 with the agreement with Thermacquatica in my opinion.
Previous to this they were essentially a Coal Explorer and Liquid Hydrocarbon company.
From their website:
"In 2013 Greenpower entered into a Research and Option Agreement with Thermaquatica to provide $US2m to Thermaquatica over two years for research into the methods and tools to produce and refine the product, in exchange for the right to obtain an exclusive sub-license for exploiting the process and its products from coal in Australia and New Zealand. As a term of the Agreement and resulting sub-license, Greenpower must build a commercial scale conversion plant agreed to operate at a feed rate of 20 tonnes of ROM lignite a day.
Since 2015, Greenpower has engaged Monash University in Melbourne to conduct trials using the liquid mixture resulting from the conversion, in the emergent weak solution, without further refining or concentrating, as a plant growth bio-stimulant. Trials to date have lead Greenpower to form the intention to build the 20 tonne per day feed plant to produce the mixture in weak solution and to market the product as a plant growth bio-stimulant."
Like with any "disruptive technology" people need to see proof that it works on something.
In my opinion the last couple of years they have done this now with a reputable name Monash University - the proof in the pudding is in the trials that have been completed and also with the impending trials coming which target other industries ("businesses")
Not only does the product work but at a significantly lower cost than other rivals.
The Commercial Plan will confirm this in my opinion.
