Thanks, Tawny - you really deserve a gold medal for helpfulness. I had a look at the ARU thread, and it seems to me that the unpopularity that many on it are complaining about is probably due to the fact that the market likes "pure" plays. I think you're probably right to concentrate on GDY: while the rare earths of ARU seem a definite plus, I think the market is heartily sick of U companies (I have only one myself: a tiny punt in MKY, which, if its follow-up results are anything like the initial results, would wake up even the most desultory investor).
