    At the moment it looks like the Left do have a chance in NZ.

    The figures Hairyback posted, if continued, would result in Winston Peters from NZ First being a kingmaker and possibly throwing in his lot with Labour and the Greens. He wants to buy back privatised government assets, tax overseas companies more and Labour's immigration policy. Sounds a bit left to me.

    I think the Nationals will (and should) get back in. But Labour's Jacinda Ardern is giving it a red hot go. Good on her. Democracy works best when the other major party is breathing down your neck.
