There is some logic in this.
The person may not know if they have HIV or not.
So it is better that individuals engage in safe sex.
You might find this interesting, then again you might not but there are documented cases of immunity. Science has worked out the reason. Two cell surface receptors are required for the HIV to dock and enter a CD4 or CD8 cell. Some people have a mutation which prevents the second of the two receptors from being displayed on their cell surfaces. This means that HIV has no way to dock and hence receptor mediated endocytosis can't occur.
