Relax for a minute before you hit the sell button.
Google "Intel Neuromorphic Patents".
Nothing shows up on page 1 or 2. I can't find any patents Intel have written for a neuromorphic chip design.
The closest thing I can find on page 4 was another IBM patent which Intel had referenced and their patent was for "Interconnection scheme for reconfigurable neuromorphic hardware" which was only filed on the 22/11/2016 and published 29/6/2017. http://www.google.com.gi/patents/WO2017112259A1?cl=en
I have been following Qualcomm, Intel, IBM, NVidia, Samsung and AMD since 2015 to see who has been up there with Peter and his SNAP IP. Let me tell you, Intel have been one of the ones left behind and virtually nothing has been said about Intels neuromorphic accomplishments to date. To keep up with everyone else they have had a shot gun approach by buying anything AI related, first General Vision which was a POS, then FPGA company Altera, they bought Saffron Tech, then they bought Mobileye recently. All to try and keep up with Google, Facebook, Apple, nVidia. And now today out of no where this??? A "test chip" that can do everything???????????????????????????????????????????
Anyway, this is from Intel today in their press release.

Our work in neuromorphic computing builds on decades of research and collaboration that started with CalTech professor Carver Mead, who was known for his foundational work in semiconductor design. The combination of chip expertise, physics and biology yielded an environment for new ideas. The ideas were simple but revolutionary: comparing machines with the human brain. The field of study continues to be highly collaborative and supportive of furthering the science.
Read the whole thing when you click on the link. It sounds exactly like everything Peter has been saying for the last 2 years.
If this isn't Brainchip IP hiding behind an NDA, I'll slam my old fella in a car door repeatedly!
