you mention 'volume surge'
how do you filter out a surge from simply a one day spike - eg on 2 march url rose in price on maaaarrrrssssive volume only to fall heavily since then
ie is there a way to discern a genuine ongoing volume surge as encountered by dyl wmt gdn (in the good old days) ..... as opposed to those 'once only specials', particularly when you are acting on short time frames (obviously its easy in hindsight to see)
